Junior PV Engineer - INTERN

Intern / Student, Full-time · Rome
Main Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Junior PV Engineer to join our engineering team supporting business development, operation and construction teams. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of photovoltaic PV & BESS systems, ensuring that installations meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, legal team and installation teams to support the successful deployment of projects. 

  • Provide engineering support to the business development team for Photovoltaic and Battery storage projects in Italy.
  • Preliminary screening of new opportunities: environmental analysis, preliminary sizing, cost estimation, yield analysis.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess PV/BESS potential, shading, and constraints. 
  • Produce deliverables for new HV and MV connection request.
  • Preliminary PV project drafting, from plant layout to yield analysis.
  • Support the activities of Construction and Operation Teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering. 
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and main components, especially PV.
  • Proficiency with the use of Autocad.
  • Knowledge of QGIS and PVsyst is considered a plus.
  • Capability to work in an organized and goal-driven manner.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members.
  • Enjoy collaboration across functional and geographic boundaries.
  • Italian and English language skills are required, other languages are a plus.
